Product Information
Donika Olive Oil is harvested early, cold-pressed, and bottled only after you place your order to preserve maximum freshness and nutrients. We also focus on sustainability and fair-trade practices. The price reflects the labor-intensive methods and premium quality.
Donika is named after Andronika (Donika) Kastrioti, a noblewoman from the 1400s who was part of Albania’s rich heritage. The olive trees that provide our oil are planted as part of a centuries-old tradition of planting 10 olive trees after marriage — a tradition that lives on in our groves today.
Donika Olive Oil has an acidity level of 0.17%, which confirms its status as extra virgin (with the standard being <0.80%).
SO. MANY. THINGS. But, Donika’s olives are harvested early to maintain the highest levels of antioxidants and nutrients, resulting in an oil with a robust, peppery flavor and naturally low acidity. This method ensures a higher-quality oil with greater health benefits but lower yield.
Health Benefits & Usage
For maximum health benefits, we recommend consuming 2 tablespoons (20g) of Donika Olive Oil daily. This provides 15 mg of powerful natural compounds like hydroxytyrosol and tyrosol. This helps protect your blood lipids from oxidative stress and promotes heart and cell health.
A true extra virgin olive oil like Donika has a low smoke point (275–325°F), meaning it can lose its nutrients and flavor at high heat. For best results, use it raw on salads or drizzled over dishes. However, we still use it for roasting and baking!
Subscription Service (-> Return To Subscribtion <- )
The Harvest Subscription is the only way to guarantee access to Donika Olive Oil throughout the year. Because we produce once per year and almost always sell out early, we reserve part of the harvest exclusively for subscribers — ensuring our best customers never miss a bottle.
You may choose to receive a Set of 3 bottles every 1, 2, or 3 months. The first shipment leaves our facility on December 1st after harvest. From there, deliveries follow the schedule you select. Shipping is always included.
Yes. You may pause or cancel at any time with no penalty. However, we kindly ask that subscribers refrain from signing up only to receive the initial discount and then cancelling. Because each subscription set is taken out of our limited supply, cancellations made without intention of long-term commitment affect our ability to serve loyal customers.
- Guaranteed supply. We reserve bottles until year’s end exclusively for subscribers, even when we sell out to the public.
- Health alignment. A daily 2-tablespoon shot for heart and cellular health means one bottle lasts about one month (not including cooking). The subscription cycle matches this rhythm perfectly.
- Exclusivity. Our subscription list is our inner circle — the first to receive oil, the last to run out.
Yes. A subscription is one of the most thoughtful gifts we offer. Each delivery arrives beautifully packaged, with harvest notes and the assurance that your recipient is part of Donika’s most exclusive circle.

Sustainability & Sourcing
Donika sources its olives from natural, wild groves in the hills of Skrofotinë, Cerkovinë, and Travllazër, with roots dating back to the 1400s. While it’s hard to certify wild groves as organic, Albania’s pristine land allows us to proudly have our trees USDA and EU certified organic.
Albania’s Mediterranean climate and pristine land make it a perfect place for olive cultivation. The land remains largely untouched by industrial development, ensuring the olives grow in the purest conditions possible.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store Donika Olive Oil in a cool, dark place to maintain its freshness. The best by date is set for 2 years after harvest (if unopened), and 2 months after opening. You should ideally go through one bottle per month if used daily.
Polyphenolic Analysis
Each analysis of Donika Olive Oil is conducted by the World Olive Center for Health. The results verify the specific polyphenols and compounds we proudly promote. A new certificate is issued after each harvest to ensure transparency.
General Info
Yes, and Albania does so beautifully! It’s a Mediterranean country with a perfect climate for olive cultivation. The land is largely untouched by humans, ensuring the oil you receive is the purest form of olive oil nature can provide.
